Male Infertility, Diagnosis and Treatment

Male infertility is a medical condition that occurs in a man who has no ability to impregnate a woman is fertile. Infertility is the result of one or more of several factors such as smoking, excessive alcohol intake, intense mount, impotence and the like.

As the diagnosis of male infertility, there are different forms of tests or exams that man must undergo sterile determine whether or not, and what is the cause of male infertility.

The following are the different examinations, tests or methods used by doctors to determine the existence of male infertility.

a. History of Medicine

c. sperm sample

This is the most common type of diagnosis to verify a man's fertility for a sperm sample. This will help the doctor determine the relevant details below sperm as volume, total count of approximately sperm motility and forward progression, and the percentage of sperm that have a normal morphology.

d. Blood Sample

This kind of diagnosis include hormone tests to determine the level of testosterone and FSH. Blood sample can reveal the genetic factors that lead to male infertility defect on chromosome Y, or Klinefelter syndrome.

The treatment compared to male infertility may vary. The factors or causes of infertility and the degree of damage or impairment of infertility helps determine the appropriate treatment to be applied.

In cases of infertility are caused by pre-testicular factors are treated with medical interventions.

Regarding post-testicular factors thereof can be treated by surgery.
