What is infertility?    If a couple is sterile, which means they have not been able to conceive after 12 months of regular sex without birth control. Means primary infertility, they never had a child. Secondary Infertility means that the infertile person has had one or more children in the past, but a medical condition is impaired fertility. Many people may be infertile during their childbearing years.

Is it a problem of infertility in women?   No, infertility is not always the problem of a woman. In only about a third of cases is infertility due to the woman (female factors). In another third of cases, infertility is due to man (male factors). The other cases are caused by a mixture of male and female factors or by unknown factorsWhat are the causes of infertility in men?   Infertility in men is most often caused by problems making sperm - producing too few sperm or not any problems with the ability of sperm to reach the egg and fertilize it - form of abnormal sperm or the structure to prevent it from moving correctly.

  Sometimes a man is born with problems that affect his sperm. Sometimes problems start later in life due to illness or injury. For example, cystic fibrosis often causes infertility in men.What are the causes of infertility in women?

  The most common factor in female infertility is an ovulation disorder. Other causes of female infertility include blocked fallopian tubes, which can occur when a woman has had pelvic inflammatory disease or endometriosis. Congenital anomalies (birth defects) involving the structure of the uterus and the fibroids are associated with recurrent miscarriage. Aging is also a factor in female infertility. The capacity of the ovaries to produce eggs declines with age, particularly after age 35.How is infertility diagnosed?

  Couples are generally advised to consult a doctor if they are unable to get pregnant after a year of unprotected sex. You may be advised to seek care specialist if you are older than 35 years. The doctor will perform a physical examination of both partners to determine your overall health and to evaluate physical disorders that can cause infertility. Usually both partners are interviewed about their sexual habits to determine if intercourse takes place well for design.

  If no cause can not be determined at this stage may recommend more specific tests. For women, including an analysis of body temperature and ovulation, X-ray tubes and uterus, fallopian tubes and laparoscopy. For men, initial tests focus on semen analysis.

What is the treatment of infertility?   Depending on the test results, the various treatments can be offered. Eighty-five to 90 percent of infertility cases are treated with drugs or surgery.  Various fertility drugs may be used for women with ovulation problems. It is important to talk with your doctor about the drug to be used. You must understand the benefits of the drug and the side effects. Depending on the fertility drug and the dose of drug used, multiple births (such as twins) can occur in some women.  If necessary, you can perform surgery to repair damage to the ovaries, fallopian tubes or uterus of a woman. Sometimes a man has an infertility problem can be corrected by surgery.What is IVF?

   Assisted reproductive technology (ART) several different medical procedures that help a woman become pregnant are described. The most common type of ART is in vitro fertilization (IVF); during IVF, eggs and sperm are mixed in a laboratory dish to fertilize, and some of the fertilized eggs (zygotes) are transferred to the uterus of the woman.

How old the ability of a woman to have affected children?Age may be an important factor in the ability of women to have children. Many women today are waiting until 30 or 40 years before deciding to have children. Statistics show that about 20 percent of American women now have their first child after age 35, and about a third of couples in which the woman is greater than the problems of the age of the experience of infertility.

How often assisted reproduction test is successful?   Success rates vary and depend on many factors. Some of the things that affect the success rate of ART include:
