IVF is the scientific approach to getting pregnant. Originally called "test tube babies" in the press, the embryos are fertilized in the laboratory, removed from a human body. An attempt IVF pregnancy is called a cycle, and can be divided into five general phases.
1. Preparation
You're body is handled with medication. Doctors prescribe a drug such as Lupron to close their ovaries for two weeks.
2. Stimulation
After Lupron series you will receive a set of up to 14 strokes of another medication such as Pergonal to overstimulate the production of eggs. At the end of these vaccines will be given a final medicine to increase mature their eggs.
3. Collection
Once the eggs are mature which is sedated and 5 to 15 eggs are aspirated from the ovaries by vaginal ultrasound guided recovery.
4. Fertilization
Eggs and sperm meet for the first time in the lab. Approximately 100,000 motile sperm are introduced to each egg. Fertilization and embryo documented the in vitro growth are observed carefully up to six days. The growing trend is the longest growth observed beyond the 6-8 cell stage, an embryo at the blastocyst stage or transfer point is not rare. There are many advantages to a blastocyst transfer, you can ask your team reproduction on them.
5. embryo transfer
Mom is back in the picture as three or four growing embryos are transferred into the uterus in a procedure that resembles a Pap test. With a little luck a new baby starts to develop. It takes an average of three IVF cycles to establish a pregnancy.
This is a very brief draft of a conventional IVF cycle, and can be a costly procedure, invasive. But for couples who have trouble conceiving, IVF is a proven method established to overcome infertility. There are a million people out there who walk test work
