11 Infertility Risk Factors


  
What is infertility?  Infertility risk factors may include many factors here are some interesting statistics.

    
About 20% of infertility cases are due to a problem in humans.
    
About 40% to 50% of infertility is caused by a problem in women.


    
Approximately 30% to 40% of infertility cases are due to problems in men and women.   Medilexicon medical dictionary defines infertility as "diminished capacity or absent to produce offspring, either in man or woman, not as irreversible as sterility." Ministry of Health and Social Services, USA, says that about 10% and 15% of couples in the United States are infertile - which means they have not conceived after one year of unprotected sex regularly.


  Apparent infertility may be treatable. Infertility can be the result of a single cause in women or men. Or it could be the result of a combination of both factors. About 1/3 of the causes of infertility are not identified.Risk factors for infertility

    
Age - Fertility after about 32 years a woman begins to drop and continuous. Male fertility gradually decreases after 40 years.

    
Smoking - smoking is bad for you in every way. There is a significantly increased risk of infertility in men and women who smoke. The benefits of fertility treatment may be weakened by smoking. The risk of miscarriage is also higher with a smoking woman.

    
Alcohol - any degree of alcohol can have a negative effect on pregnancy and alcohol abuse a woman can reduce male fertility. The reasonable alcohol consumption has not been shown to decrease fertility in most men, with the possible exception of men who already have a low sperm count.

    
Being obese or overweight - a sedentary lifestyle leads to being overweight or obese. This proved to be one of the main causes of female infertility. An overweight man has a higher risk of abnormal sperm.

    
Low weight - as being overweight, being significantly underweight can result in women with fertility problems.

    
Being vegan - a strict vegetarian should ensure that your intake of vitamins and minerals such as iron, folic acid, zinc and vitamin B-12 are adequate, otherwise your affected fertility.

    
Excessive exercise - exercise more than seven hours a week can create problems ovulation of a woman.
    
No exercise - a sedentary lifestyle has been linked to reduced fertility in men and women.

    
Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) - Chlamydia can cause scarring of the fallopian tubes causing infertility. Many STIs can cause infertility.

    
Exposure to certain chemicals - attention to
 exposure to pesticides, herbicides and solvents of any kind. These have been linked to fertility problems in men and women.

    
Mental stress - female ovulation and sperm production may be affected by mental stress.The issue of infertility is a very complicated problem and many other factors than those listed above may have an effect.


Cost effective, safe and natural methods to reverse infertility are available before looking at the expensive medications and medical procedures. There are, of course, that these cases will be needed, but it seems that natural is always the first best option.
